bleh was looking at pictures again :) i think the pictures i took in thailand were the most beautiful i've taken in my life. ahh. as in not literally :)

hm since im leaving singapore (again) for malaysia tmr, and since i've just completed the campfire thing for pj camp.. decided to upload some pics on my blog! :) enjoy!

the 21 brave hc students (and 3 teachers) took a laopok and squeezy bus on 24th nov to anuban nongkhai school, where we were going to spend 5 days teaching :)


3 happy girls! :)

i had a favourite seat on the bus, which was at the back and required me to extend my legs over the railings for more leg space. the door wasnt closed! :D


upon arrival, we were definitely overwhelmed by the massive number of students in the school, ranging from preschool to grade 6.


(this is like 1/4 the school)

we then proceeded to teach our classes. for the first week (i.e. 24th/25th nov, 2nd wk i taught grade1s, who are a bumch of monsters) i taught the grade2 kids with rice and jia an. david and jeana were in a another class. we taught them animals with the cute pictures we had prepared.


this smart kid kept raising his hand in class and managed to spell 'hippopotamus'! :D so i conferred him the title of MY CUTE KID and proceeded to take a pic with him (and many more on the days following tt)

we then proceeded to class 2/2. where i met an ang tse siong lookalike:

his name sounds like 'pieceofbone' and he has beautiful eyes that can set ur heart ablaze and electrify you. anw, he's holding a broom cos i think they have a duty roster and take turns to clean their classroom and area ard it.

some snack called 'roti', which is basicall roti prata + condensed milk + sugar all rolled up into one. and it's really, really yummy and can only be found in nongkhai! :)


we had swensen's at lotus (a shopping centre) in nongkhai. cheap eh. 59 baht (~SGD$2+) for the sundae.. though there was just alot of whipped cream (eew) and v little ice cream.

we had a 'farewell party' in the hall.. (which was qt lame i wld rather have spent more time with the kids cos the party was only us?!) but anw, we danced for them and the kids were allowed to come in. was sian when i was dancing until i saw.. SHUAIGE!! (and class 2/7) then i danced more happily :D

when our bus left the kids all crowded ard our bus and said bye! :( and some kids actually ran after the bus.. incl my cute/weird boy who chased the furthest. ahhh. said our last goodbyes and i actually cried. :(
