i'm back! (: after a good 9 days spent in thailand, 8 7 of which in nongkhai.
really had a very good time teaching the kids english and playing with them. thai kids are really different from singaporean kids. they have a much happier childhood. while kiasu parents are giving their p1 kids assessment books to do, thai p1 kids have so much fun playin with simple things like balloons.
anw, taught p1 and p2 kids. i love the p2 kids so much (p1 kids are too rowdy). got emotional attachment for them alr! :D esp like class 2/7 cos got my 2 fav boys in there: shuai ge "pieceofbone" (his name sounds like that) and eccentric cute boy. but i like the p2s on the whole.
i actually cried when we left the school the last time (i was like one of the two ppl who did this ard). had so much fun. one of the boys in 2/7 said "see you again tmr". i guess he didnt know we were leavin for good alr. we may never ever get to see them again :( and god knows what will happen to them 10 years on cos i think they wld never get far stayin in nongkhai. ahh. i just wish the best for them. study hard and make their life good! (:
anw, this trip has opened my eyes to a different world.. and has reaffirmed my belief in living for a cause. i'm more certain that i want to travel to africa/other third world countries one day to contribute in any way that i can :)
